Terms of use
Last updated: October 20, 2026
These terms of use govern your use of eFlyPDF, available at https://eflypdf.com. They apply to every visitor and every user, with or without an account.
By using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
1. Purpose
eFlyPDF is an online service for working with PDF files: merge, split, compress, convert, edit, protect and sign documents. It also offers a premium AI assistant that lets you chat with your document, summarize, translate, extract data and fill in forms.
These terms set out how you may use the service and the commitments of each party. Paid plans are also governed by our subscription policy.
See the subscription policy (/en/subscription-policy) and the privacy policy (/en/privacy).
2. Publisher
The service is published by Blue One Limited, a private company limited by shares incorporated in Hong Kong, whose registered office is at Suite C, Level 7, World Trust Tower, 50 Stanley Street, Central, Hong Kong (Companies Registry n° 3067388, Business Registration n° 73181417).
Full details are available in the legal notice (/en/legal-notice).
3. Definitions
- "Service": the eFlyPDF website, its tools, its assistant and its API.
- "User" or "you": any person who uses the service, with or without an account.
- "Tool": a feature that processes a file (for example merge, compress or convert).
- "Assistant": the AI features of the service (chat with your document, summarize, translate, smart OCR, data extraction, assisted form filling, rewriting, generation).
- "AI pages": the unit used to count the use of the assistant, as described in the subscription policy.
- "Plans": the Free, AI and Pro tiers, and the 24-hour pass.
- "Content": the files you upload and the results produced from them.
4. Access to the service
The service is accessible from a recent web browser with an internet connection. Connection costs remain your responsibility.
Some tools can be used without an account, within the visitor limits (10 operations per day, files up to 50 MB). Other features require an account with a verified email address.
To protect the service, we apply rate limits and may ask you to complete an invisible anti-bot check.
5. Your account
To create an account, you provide a valid email address and confirm it. You agree to give accurate information and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your access confidential and for any activity on your account. Tell us without delay if you suspect unauthorized use.
One account is personal. Creating several accounts to get around limits or the AI trial is not allowed.
You can export your data and delete your account at any time from your account area (/en/account).
6. The free service
The classic tools are free. Results carry no watermark, and no credit card is required.
With a free account, you can use 50 operations per day, with files up to 100 MB. The limits of each plan are shown in every tool before you upload a file, and on the pricing page (/en/pricing).
When you reach a limit, we tell you which limit was reached, what you can still do for free, and which plan lifts it. We never fail silently.
We may adjust free limits over time. The limits in force are always the ones displayed in the service.
7. Paid plans
The AI and Pro plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. The 24-hour pass is a one-time purchase. AI page top-ups are available to AI and Pro subscribers.
Prices, renewal, cancellation, refunds and the right of withdrawal are described in the subscription policy (/en/subscription-policy).
8. The AI assistant
The assistant's answers and documents are generated automatically by language models. They may contain errors, omissions or inaccurate wording. Always check them before relying on them.
When you chat with your document, answers cite the pages they rely on, so you can check the source passage.
Every user with a verified email address gets a one-time AI trial: 3 AI operations over the life of the account, each limited to 20 pages. The trial is linked to your verified email address and, where applicable, to your payment method.
Your documents are never used to train any model, neither by us nor by our AI providers.
Documents generated by the assistant (contracts, letters, certificates, powers of attorney) are drafts. They are not legal advice. Have them checked by a qualified professional before using them.
9. Your content
You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the results you obtain. We claim no ownership over them.
You grant us only the rights strictly needed to provide the service: storing, processing and transmitting your files to the providers involved, for the time needed and as described in the privacy policy.
You guarantee that you have the right to use the files you upload, and that they do not infringe the rights of others.
Your files are deleted automatically after a set period. See how we handle your documents (/en/how-we-handle-your-documents).
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload illegal content, content that infringes the rights of others, or content that promotes violence, hatred or the exploitation of minors;
- upload malicious files or try to disrupt, overload or bypass the security of the service;
- use scripts or automated means outside the API to get around limits;
- create fake documents, forge signatures or use the service for fraud;
- resell or redistribute the service without our written permission;
- try to access other users' files or data.
Every file processed on our servers is scanned by an antivirus. We may refuse or delete a file that presents a risk.
11. Official forms
eFlyPDF is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any public authority, including the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) or the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
Official forms are available free of charge from the authorities that issue them. Our form library and assisted filling are tools to save you time, not an official channel.
You remain solely responsible for the information you enter, declare or submit, and for checking that you are using the current version of a form.
12. Electronic signature
A signature you draw, type or import into a document is a simple electronic signature. Its evidential value depends on the context and on the applicable law.
The certified signature option (Pro plan) adds a timestamp from a third-party timestamping authority and a proof log (document fingerprint, verified email address of the signer, timestamps and steps). It is designed as an advanced electronic signature (to be confirmed).
The certified signature is not a qualified electronic signature within the meaning of the eIDAS Regulation. If a document legally requires a qualified signature, use a qualified trust service provider.
13. API
Access to the API is reserved for the Pro plan. API calls use the same quotas as your account.
Your API key is confidential. Do not share it or publish it. You are responsible for any use made with it. You can revoke it and create a new one at any time.
Technical documentation and conditions of use are available on the developers page (/en/developers).
14. Availability
We do our best to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates or incidents may cause interruptions.
When demand is high, free users may have to wait; subscribers are served first. If the assistant is temporarily unavailable, your request is put on hold and no AI page is counted until it succeeds.
Keep your own copies of important documents. The service is not an archiving or backup service.
15. Liability
We provide the service with care, under a best-efforts obligation. We are not liable for:
- the content of the files you upload, or how you use the results;
- errors in AI-generated content that you did not check;
- indirect damage, such as loss of business, data or opportunity;
- interruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it, in particular towards consumers, nor your statutory rights as a consumer.
16. Intellectual property
The eFlyPDF name, interface, texts, graphics and software are protected. You may not copy, modify or reuse them without our permission.
The service relies on open-source components, used in accordance with their licenses. They are listed in the legal notice (/en/legal-notice).
17. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account in case of a serious breach of these terms, fraud, abuse or a legal requirement. Except in urgent cases, we will tell you first and give you the chance to explain.
If a paid account is closed for a reason that is not your fault, the unused part of the period is refunded.
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account area (/en/account).
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect a new feature or a legal change. The date of the last update is shown on this page.
For significant changes, we will inform account holders by email or in the service before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can close your account.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by: the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; consumers keep the mandatory protections and the right to sue in the courts of their country of residence.
If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
In case of a dispute, please contact us first: we will look for an amicable solution. Consumers may also use a consumer mediation service free of charge (mediator details to be confirmed).
